A big thank you to Ken Upton from IPSEA for coming to The Isabella Trust yesterday to speak to parents and carers. There were a few people who could not attend yesterday and Ken has kindly agreed to come again if anybody is interested.
IPSEA is a registered charity providing free and independent legally based advice to parents of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
IPSEA has been awarded a grant from the Department for Education (DfE) to enable them to reach out, engage and work with families from areas of deprivation, concerning the SEND reforms.
IPSEA is contacting SEND/parent groups in our area with a view to:
· Supporting them to commission and hold IPSEA training events
· Disseminating leaflets and publicity materials
· Recruiting, training and supporting IPSEA volunteers
